About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Cabling Installer with a strong understanding of IT systems to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role involving the installation, testing, and maintenance of structured cabling and network infrastructure across residential and commercial environments.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality installations while supporting a range of IT and connectivity solutions including WiFi, CCTV, and communication systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fibre)
- Running, terminating, and testing cables to industry standards
- Installing and maintaining network cabinets, patch panels, and containment
- Assisting with WiFi access points, CCTV systems, and VoIP setups
- Troubleshooting network and connectivity issues
- Ensuring all installations are neat, organised, and professionally finished
- Working on-site at residential and commercial properties
- Adhering to health and safety standards at all times
Requirements
- Experience in data cabling installation
- Basic to intermediate IT/networking knowledge
- Familiarity with routers, switches, and wireless systems
- Ability to read and follow technical plans or diagrams
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
- Client discretion and confidentiality essential
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills
- Experience with fibre installation and termination
- Knowledge of CCTV and security systems
- Understanding of VoIP systems
- Previous experience in a similar role or environment
